ABOUT ROD

For over 35 years, Rod Riley has been displaying his musical talent. Rod is a guitarist, composer, producer and session musician. He was born in Virginia where he picked up the guitar at the young age of five. He grew up playing in the family band and made the move to Nashville, TN, where he was fortunate enough to take the place of Redd Volkart as lead guitarist for the Don Kelley Band. Don Kelley has a history of high caliber guitar players such as Brent Mason, Johnny Hiland and Sid Hudson. It was an honor for Rod to be included among such greats. Rod also played in Nashville and on the road for a number of years where he performed with Randy Travis, Boxcar Willie, Stella Parton, Ricky Van Shelton, Alan Jackson, Jerry Springer, Del Reeves, Little Jimmy Dickens, Lorrie Morgan, LeAnn Rimes, Johnny Russell, Vince Gill, Dolly Parton and many other legendary artists. He has had the opportunity to tour the United States and Europe with Nashville artists such as Shawn Camp, Joe Nichols, Ricky Van Shelton, Vern Gosdin, Tanya Tucker, and Jeff Bates.

Rod has been a session musician for over 25 years and has played guitar on hundreds of recordings. He also worked for Sundance Films and played at Robert Redford's Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. Rod is now part of the Nashville music scene in the studio as musician and producer and playing local showcase events.

He is currently Pro Tools equipped and ready to share his talent on your next recording.
